My “Dawson’s Creek” Addiction

I have a confession to make. In my previous life I was addicted to “Dawson’s Creek” for 5½ long seasons. It started quite innocently enough on a Tuesday night in January of 1998 (with the pilot episode), and I was hooked immediately. I endured some 128 episodes of the teen drama as I followed the continuing life and times of Capeside’s Dawson, Pacey, Joey, Jen, Jack, and Andie. Thankfully in May of 2003 the series came to a fitting close and my Wednesday nights returned to normalcy.

I pledged never again to get hooked on a cheesy teen drama. I obviously didn’t learn my lesson. Now I’m hooked on this show on ABC Family. Fresh new episodes start back up this upcoming Monday night at 8 PM EST !

Confession is good for the soul Chris. DC was my favorite teen drama ever. I have seen the entire series through three times on TBS… that was when I was a stay at home mom with only ONE child! However, I think she should have ended up with Dawson, but that’s just me. Katie Holmes is from Toledo where I was raised, so naturally, I had to love the show.

After DC left I went to Everwood and that is gone now too. I was also a Gilmore Girls fan. I have no teen drama in my life now. I feel a little sad about that. I am over run by reality tv.

Less than 3 months after “Dawson’s Creek” aired its final episode Fox brought us “The O.C.”, and I nearly fell off of the wagon again. Thankfully it didn’t happen, as I never watched a single episode of that nonsense.

Speaking of “Gilmore Girls” Lauren Graham and I attended high school together up in McLean Virginia (Langley High School). She was one grade higher than me, so we were there for 3 years together.

WHAT!?!?!?! You are famous!!!!! I thought I was cool for living in the same town as Katie Holmes and attending high school at the same time, but like 10 miles away. Do you remember her much?

I did watch the OC but only off and on. Not religiously like DC. I hate the “CW” now. I miss the “WB.” The CW took all of my shows away! Okay, that sentence looked really retarded. See you in the AM.

No – I don’t remember her. Neither of us were famous at the time, and besides – we were in totally different cliques. She was with all of the cool girls. I was a member of the ‘Freaks & Geeks’ squad.
