I went to Casvana Cuban Cuisine this morning at 11:30 for Lunch, and I enjoyed the ‘Miami Sandwich’. What exactly is that you may ask ? I’ll tell you mi amigo. It’s a deliciously toasted Cuban sandwich pressed with ham, turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and swiss cheese (yum) on Cuban bread. It was cut into 4 equal-size pieces, and I was lovin’ it !
I was also peer-pressured by my Lunch companion and our waitress staff into selecting a fine dessert item, so I chose the ‘Flan Cheesecake’. It’s original cheesecake and flan (Cuban baked custard with a layer of carmelized sugar).
I give this meal a perfect 4.0 stars estrellas !
Now that I’ve enjoyed their Breakfast and their Lunch I must now add ‘Dinner’ to my future agenda. If anyone wishes to go out to Casavana for Dinner sometime then please inquire within. Please give me at least a few days advance notice so that I may study their menu online.

I have eaten at Casavana twice now. While I have had good experiences there, I cannot endorse the Miami sandwich. It was way too tall (even when I took half of the meat off!), the bread was too crunchy, and the roof of my mouth hurt when I was done. I like the one at Mario’s better.
You didn’t like that there was TOO MUCH meat on the sandwich ? I didn’t have the ‘too crunchy’ problemo with my bread. Maybe you got a bad piece ? Nevertheless I will try the equivalent sandwich at Mario’s and see if it lives up to my expectations. I can’t remember the last time I ate there (maybe over a year ago).
