The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club

OK club members – It’s that time again to mull over another interesting message that I received within my fortune cookie as part of my delicious Chinese Food Lunch today … but first if it’s Sunday it is “Meet The Press”.

‘You will take a chance on something in the near future.’

Let me tell you something here. If I’m not taking chances then I’m not taking risks. If I’m not taking risks then I’m not progressing forward and seizing those moments. I’m not making an impact. I’m not “Chasing Daylight”. God did not want us to be mundane mannequins. He wanted us to live. Jesus Christ died for us so that we could live. To be mundane is to be dying. I’m not about being mundane anymore. I have awoken. I’m on a journey. Moving forward. Taking chances.

ok Chris this is my fortune cookie message from yesterday. Don’t understanded maybe you can shead some lite on it.
“A MODEST MAN NEVER TALKS TO HIMSELF”

That’s an interesting one because you would think that a man who is modest (shy, quiet, humble, unassuming) would be the one who would talk to himself (because he wouldn’t talk to anyone else). I’m speaking from prior experience here. But upon second glance I believe that it is truly the modest man that does not talk to himself because he already knows where his place is within the hierarchy of life. He does not need to convince himself that he is better than all of the rest because he does not believe that. He believes that he should just be himself with all of his friends, co-workers, and colleagues. He is proud of himself, and the way that he lives his life. He talks to others. He talks to God. He does not talk to himself.

This is the problem I have with fortune cookies. They don’t have a fortune in them, and they don’t tell a fortune either. They usually just give a wise saying.

Do you know how hard it is to keep up with a teeny weeny piece of paper out of a cookie just to come post it on your blog? Well, I have made several attempts, but here is my first entry…

“Good health is a man’s best wealth”

So there ya go. My contribution as a member.

Yeah that’s true Chris my life before was not the tranparent life I have know and the way I speak to others is so different that to me sometimes I don’t sound like the same person.

Kelly it’s hard to keep them little papers but is fun posting them here at the majors blog:)

Phil,
You are right. That is why we exist here at ‘The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club’.

Kelly,
Thank you for sharing your ‘wise saying’. I’m upgrading your membership in the club. Keep eating that delicious Chinese Food and grabbing those tasty fortune cookies.

Ela,
I’m glad that you know the version of me that has been saved by our Lord & Saviour and not the version of me that existed for some 39 years before I awoke and began my personal relationship with God. The previous me died. The current me is living Life with God and His children on Earth.
