Life Pointe Church Sunday Morning Tossed Salad

1.  Before we get to Sunday morning at Life Pointe Church at Flagship Cinemas in the east of Homestead I must first mention Saturday at Life Pointe Church at our fresh new offices in Uptown Homestead (NW 15TH Street a half a block west of Krome Avenue). I had planned to stop by and check out the new office space and maybe even help out a bit for perhaps an hour or two. As I was getting ready to leave Richie told me to grab a paint brush and get to work pronto. 8 hours later I had wrapped-up a fun-filled day with my friends as we painted that place blue, green, and brown. I plan to move in to my new office this Thursday.  😉

2.  I came up with the idea of a Father’s Day barbeque, official ribbon-cutting ceremony, and open house of our new offices in June following Sunday morning services. Paul said, ‘That’s a good idea. Put that on your blog.’ Travis added, ‘Yeah we can do that. Tell Paul.’

3.  Venus D. came up with an interesting idea for Mother’s Day next Sunday morning, and she got Tere and Patricia to join the bandwagon and rubber stamp it (naturally). She wants all of the LPC dudes to dress up in full tuxedos next week so that they can wait hand and foot on each Mom and then escort them into the main theatre. I vetoed the idea, suggested an equally degrading idea for Father’s Day, and then Anne J. playfully hit me like nobody’s business !  I’M SAYIN’ !

4.  ‘The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club’ (TM) has inspired this month’s message series at the LPC. Pastor Travis spoke on fate and destiny. The future is definite. Your future is changeable. God polishes your missteps and causes them to work in synergy with His best hope for your Life. Your path is determined by your next actionable decision. God is omniscient; therefore, He knows how it all turns out. He calls us to Himself for redemption.

5.  Pastor Paul bookended Pastor Travis before and after the message with communion before and time set aside for completing our connection cards after. The connection cards are an extremely valuable tool for keeping in touch with us and ensuring that we have your correct information on file. It also lets us know how we’re doing as a church family. You can utilize the connection card to write down your comments and prayer requests. You can also use it to request additional information about becoming a follower of Jesus, getting baptised, serving, and then ultimately becoming a member of Life Pointe Church. Use the connection card regularly no matter if you an occasional attender of our services or a long-time member. We need to constantly hear from you. The connection card is an excellent form of communication between you and your LPC staff.

Sorry about that Chris, I think I have mentioned a few times at life-group how black and white Richie is. Dont take it personal…he is a hard worker and he does that to me at home but at least he smiles…did he at least smile when he said it? Keep him in prayer! LOL

Beckie,
Please no apologies necessary or wanted. Richie put me in my place, and I now have an even higher amount of respect for him because of that. At the end of the day Pastor Travis thanked him for all of his hard work, and Richie said something like, ‘It’s my pleasure to be here. It’s my church, isn’t it ?’ I was like, ‘You GO Richie. AMEN !

P.S. Were you at church this morning ? Richie was there, but I couldn’t find you ! 😉
