# 1 One Year Ago This Week:
“No One Like Our God” – Lincoln Brewster

Welcome back Elevation Worship to my chart, and welcome to Miami !  You guys are performing LIVE in concert tonight on Miami Beach, and I unfortunately won’t be there. It’s a work night for me, and frankly I can’t deal with the heavy traffic between my home and Miami Beach – especially during Spring Break. You guys will be around for a long time, so I know that there will be future opportunities to see you perform LIVE. Have a great show. Glorify God. Save lives tonight !

Sanctus Real have the new # 1 smash on my chart this week with their long-running single “Confidence”. This chart is truly influenced by radio airplay. This song has been playing on the radio for almost 13 months now. It even crossed-over to mainstream rock stations where it was a Top 20 hit nationwide. But K-LOVE just started playing it a month ago, and as soon as they did so – I loved it. I hum and sing it long after I hear it on the radio. I love these lyrics:

So give me faith like Daniel – in the lion’s den
Give me hope like Moses – in the wilderness
Give me a heart like David – Lord be my defense
So I can face my giants with confidence

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again next weekend – 4 new entries on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. I don’t blog on Saturdays. That’s my day of rest.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. Enjoy this week my friends. I’m on Twitter @ChrisMDay, and I’m also the man behind the tweets for my church @LivingWatersHFL. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him. AMEN.

Sunday Scripture

As I begin my 5TH year with my current church family I’m reminded yet again why I love everyone so very much.

Praise & Worship

We had a beautiful, encouraging, and inspirational church service today – even with more than a dozen out and about on this pseudo-holiday (Saint Patrick’s Day). Everyone returns home safely and securely next week, and we will celebrate as we always do each and every Sunday morning starting at 11.

Today we were introduced to several new songs during Praise & Worship, and then we were in for a treat. Pastor Terry led the message, and she went “old school” by delivering God’s Truth entirely from the Old Testament – 1 Samuel 30 (all 31 verses), Psalm 107, Job 42:10-17, and Judges 11:10. Her sermon was titled “Recovering Losses”, and she told the story of how (future King) David and his men recovered their losses in a holy war against the Amalekites (enemies of the Israelites). She related it to the present-day, and how we can recover our losses through the guidance and direction of our Lord & Healer Jesus Christ.

“LORD – help !” they cried in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. (Psalm 107:6 & 13 & 19 & 28 NLT)

My friends – I am living proof of God’s glorious miracles. I have personally experienced 12½ years of miracles since salvation started for me. If you’re a believer and a follower of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ then you know what I’m talking about. If you are not yet a believer and a follower (or if you’re unsure) then it’s not too late. Our God is a powerful God. He wants you to come to Him. You don’t have to go far at all. He will meet you right where you are. You just need to reach out to Him into His arms wide open. He wants to take you on a fantastic journey. Go with Him. Follow Him. Trust Him. He’s got an abundance of miracles with your name on it. He’s got a church family waiting for you to join them in His eternal celebration.

I’m 55 days away from seeing them LIVE in Tampa (along with Micah Tyler and Crowder). That’s gonna be a wonderful week on this fantastic journey on the road !

I used to sing and dance the night away with the world, but now I sing and dance for Christ alongside His believers, His followers, His joyful celebrators. God’s Kingdom is truly alive !

Sunday Scripture

Today on this first morning of Daylight Saving Time – historically the worst-attended Sunday morning church service of the year – we actually had a nice turnout today. Following 5 songs of Praise & Worship and Happy Birthday greetings to two of our own I led today’s message with a full sermon.

My sermon was titled “Present & Future”, and it was all about God’s plans versus our own plans. It was my 11TH and final sermon from my very first message series that started 13 months ago on the Book of James. (I usually preach once per month.) Now that I’ve finally wrapped-up a full message series I plan to start the next one immediately lasting the next two years !

Just kidding. That message series was grueling. God got me through it. God led me all the way. He showed me The Way through 5 chapters and 108 verses – about half of them God’s commands or obligations.

My next group of sermons (one already written) will come from all throughout the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs with a little bit of Old Testament included as well.

From today’s sermon:

If you think you are too important to help someone – you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. (Galatians 6:3 NLT)

Carry each other’s burdens. If your neighbor is struggling – then lend him or her a helping hand. If he or she is suffering – then comfort him or her. If he or she is joyful – then celebrate alongside him or her. That’s how you love your neighbor as yourself. That’s how you fulfill the law of Christ. That’s how you disciple. That’s what we must do in the present in order to secure an eternal future with God.
