“Confidence” – Sanctus Real

# 1 Two Years Ago This Week:
“No One Like Our God” – Lincoln Brewster

# 1 Three Years Ago This Week:
“I Have This Hope” – Tenth Avenue North

Matt Maher is back on my chart with his 2ND single. It’s his follow-up to the # 1 smash “What A Friend” – which debuted at # 9 exactly 2 years ago next week. I absolutely love his new song. I loved it the first time I ever heard it on my recent road-trip to and from Orlando and Fort Myers. I love its feel. I love that I can dance and dream to it. I love its simple but powerful lyrics:

♫ Joy still comes in the morning
Hope still walks with the hurting
If you’re still alive and breathing
Praise the Lord !

Don’t stop dancing and dreaming
There’s still Good News worth repeating
So lift your head and keep singing
Praise the Lord ! ♫

I tweeted those lyrics yesterday morning @ChrisMDay, and I tagged @MattMaherMusic. Matt was the 2ND one to like it.

Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD !  Praise the LORD !  (Psalm 150:6)

There he is – Matt Maher – on keyboards – as Kim Walker-Smith and Tauren Wells sing God’s Word. Chris Tomlin is also on the stage singing. This is from an April 2018 concert that I had an excellent floor seat at right alongside the stage.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again next weekend – with 4 new entries on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. I don’t blog on Saturdays. That’s my day of rest.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. I’m also on Twitter @ChrisMDay, and I’m the man behind the tweets for my church @LivingWatersHFL.

Enjoy this new week my friends ! May the God of hope fill you completely with joy and peace as you trust in Him.

  2. “Your Name Is Power” – Rend Collective [4 / 9TH]
  3. “The God Who Stays” – Matthew West [2 / 16TH]

# 1 One Year Ago This Week:
“Red Letters” – Crowder

# 1 Two Years Ago This Week:
“No One Like Our God” – Lincoln Brewster

# 1 Three Years Ago This Week:
“I Have This Hope” – Tenth Avenue North

This blog was on hiatus last week, so this chart wasn’t published. You didn’t miss much. There were no new entries last week and 5 non-movers (the entire Top 5) with minimal movement within the bottom 5.

This week is similar with no new entries again and 7 non-movers. Rend Collective’s 3RD hit on my chart – “Your Name Is Power” – ties their 1ST hit – “Rescuer (Good News)” – at a peak position of # 2. It could very well be my next # 1 smash.

MercyMe continue at # 1 with “Almost Home”, and I got to sing it out loud with 7,000+ brothers and sisters this past Friday night at the Hertz Arena in Estero Florida. The last time I got to sing along with thousands to my current # 1 smash at the time was when “Maybe It’s OK’ was # 1 almost 13 months ago, and We Are Messengers performed it LIVE during their set.

This was my 2ND MercyMe concert in 10 months, and it was also my 2ND Jeremy Camp concert in less than 7 weeks. (Jeremy opened for Franklin Graham at this same arena.) Both artists put on an awesome and inspiring show, and it was great and glorious to be part of that church body experience for 3½ hours. David Leonard opened the show at 7 PM, and Mark Stuart – the longtime (former) lead singer of Audio Adrenaline – hosted the show in-between each of the acts.

Next up on the concert scene – Casting Crowns and Matthew West in about 4½ weeks. Casting Crowns have a new song out – “Love Moved First” – and it’s sitting just outside of my Top 10.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again next weekend – with 4 new entries on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. I don’t blog on Saturdays. That’s my day of rest.

I have a new # 1 smash this week !  MercyMe’s 4TH single on my chart is now their 3RD # 1 smash. Their only song to not hit # 1 was “Best News Ever” which spent 2 weeks at # 2 last February. I’m looking forward to seeing them LIVE in concert next week. I saw the setlist of a recent concert from this past weekend. It looks solid – 18 hits led at the top by “Best News Ever”. I’ll be singing and dancing along from my floor seat.

My blog is getting ready to go on hiatus. I’ll present my next Top 10 hit music chart 2 weeks from today on Monday March 09TH 2020. I’ll also review the concert then. Did I mention that Jeremy Camp opens for MercyMe ? !

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again next weekend – with 2 new entries on Thursday and Friday.

  12. “Different” – Micah Tyler [# 1 for 4 weeks]
  13. “Home” – Chris Tomlin [# 1 for 2 weeks]

  19. “Born Again” – Austin French [# 1 for 3 weeks]
  20. “Oh My Soul” – Casting Crowns [# 1 for 1 week]

My # 1 smash of 2019 and my # 1 smash of 2018 are my Top 2 hits of the past 3 years respectively. My # 1 smash of 2017 is at # 7 overall.

All but 1 of my Top 20 hits was a # 1 smash. Tauren Wells’ “Known” placed way up at # 6 overall. It spent 30 weeks in a row on my chart including 17 weeks in my Top 5. The other 19 out of 20 hits represent 77 weeks (almost half of the total number of weeks) at # 1.

Casting Crowns scores a hat trick with 3 of my Top 20 hits. I consider them as well as MercyMe as my 2 favorite bands right now. I’ll be seeing both of them LIVE in concert in March and April. Matthew West opens for Casting Crowns, and Jeremy Camp opens for MercyMe. I’ll be singing along loudly from the floor.

What a fun chart to compile, and what a wonderful 3 years it has been listening to K-LOVE on the radio. This chart was compiled by awarding 10 points for each week at # 1, 9 points for # 2, and so forth and so on down to 1 point for # 10. The points are then added, and the hits are ranked.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again next weekend – with 4 new entries on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. I don’t blog on Saturdays. That’s my day of rest.
