I make it a habit not to speak nor write anything on this subject.
…but you just did write something on this subject.
No sarcasm intended, especially for Ela. I have seen too many of your posts to recognize the incredibly beautiful picture of God that obviously exists within you. 🙂 In that, I wanted to help by pointing out that it’s actually not possible to post something about not posting something. It’s sort of a circular logic loop that continually turns on itself.
“Politics” can be a tricky issue to discuss, but only because the word “politics” is culturally (within the U.S.) applied to the base, evil nature of mankind. I prefer Webster’s definition as follows:
Politics
POL’ITICS, n. The science of government; that part of ethics which consists in the regulation and government of a nation or state, for the preservation of its safety, peace and prosperity; comprehending the defense of its existence and rights against foreign control or conquest, the augmentation of its strength and resources, and the protection of its citizens in their rights, with the preservation and improvement of their morals. Politics, as a science or an art, is a subject of vast extent and importance.
Looking at this definition, you see that if we speak or write about the preservation of our country’s safety, peace and prosperity (all good things) then we are in effect speaking and writing about politics.
