Saturday Night Retro

Last week on the ‘Retro’ I featured a classic Miami-grown television commercial from right around 1965. This week we keep it ‘Retro’, but fast-forward 14 years into the future. It’s the Summer Of 1979, and disco was dying a slow death due to many intentionally orchestrated campaigns at the time to kill it. This was one of the last successful disco hits on the U.S. pop chart back during disco’s last remaining breaths. It’s a TOP 20 gold smash from Frenchman Patrick Hernandez. Ladies and Gentleman. I present to you for your ‘Retro’ review – “Born To Be Alive” !

This is hard to say but I agree with Travis on this one.
What’s going on we are all going retro, if that’s the case let me find my bell bottoms and my poncho. Oh and I have to let my hair grow out as well..LOL…

If ever there was justification for the death of Dico you’ve just presented it, sorry Trav I had to bail after 1 minute 14 seconds.

I’m thinking Ela Bella would be pretty fly in bells and a dishiki by the way.

I bet that 20-year-old Ela Bella was quite the Disco Diva back in the day !

As far as all of you Disco haters are concerned just for you cats I may turn the ‘Saturday Night Retro’ into a weekly Disco Party ! DO THE HUSTLE !
