This morning at Life Pointe Church in Homestead Florida Lead Pastor Travis wrapped-up our three-week message series on the Old Testament Prophet known as Habakkuk. While most of the Prophets relayed God’s message to the people Habakkuk switched it up and represented the peoples’ message to The Lord Almighty.
When we drift into a crisis of faith or belief – a ‘dip’ if you will – we need to react appropriately to get ourselves out of that dip and back onto the straight and narrow again on His fantastic journey for us. We must remember what He has done for us in the past. We must accept what He is doing for us right now. We must trust what He will do for us in the future. We must believe in Him, for He is the only solution.
Habakkuk (3:17-19, NLT 2ND Ed.)
17 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord ! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation !
19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength ! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.

I think this will go down as the shortest tossed salad ever. Mark that one down in your stat book :). Why weren’t you at the picnic?!?!?
I’ve gradually downsized the ‘Tossed Salad’ over the past several months from 5 (or more) bullet statements to 3 bullet statements to a couple of non-bulletted paragraphs. I’ve been told that my blog entries are too long and descriptive, so I’ve made them more short and concise for the new Fall season ! 😮
I didn’t attend the picnic and baptism because:
1. I’m still recovering from my 6TH cold in 11 months. (It’s almost gone.)
2. I don’t have much of an appetite.
3. I had work to do this afternoon at home (both personal and church).
Okay, I will excuse you this time. I always enjoyed your tossed salads that started… I arrived at the theater at 7:28… :). It seemed so detailed. I started mine off that way and just couldn’t handle it! Maybe sometimes I will throw more detailed ones in there.
