Sunday Scripture

Greetings my friends. It is Sunday June 22ND 2025, and this is the day that our LORD has made. Let us rejoice. Let us be glad in it. Let us celebrate this great new day of believing, following, trusting, loving, and being more like our Lord + Savior Jesus Christ. Let us love our neighbor as ourself.

This is my 365TH #SundayScripture over the past 7 years. I always look forward to writing this blog post each week to share the Glory of God.

When I was working full-time I knew that I wanted to write more once I retired. And now I’m doing it. I’m a modern-day writer – a “digital creator” as it’s known today. Many digital creators specialize in short videos. Others showcase their photography skills online. I write Facebook posts, blog posts, and sermons. I’m the Social Media Director for the Sebring Historical Society, and I run our Facebook page. I also run my own Facebook page – CountUp – (same name as this blog). My Facebook page is an extension of this blog – specifically #TravelThursday. And I write sermons (and Communions – which are essentially mini-sermons).

I’ve written a lot of material online over the past 32 years, and I hope to continue to do so as long as it’s still enjoyable and people continue to read (or hear) what I’ve written.

I’m currently writing my 67TH sermon and 4TH in a row from First Timothy. It’s titled “Elders & Deacons”, and it’s based on 1 Timothy 3:1-13.

An elder must not be a new believer, because he might become proud, and the devil would cause him to fall. Also – people outside the church must speak well of him so that he will not be disgraced and fall into the devil’s trap. (1 Timothy 3:6-7 NLT)

It’s all about humility. Gotta be humble as a Pastor, Preacher, Teacher, Minister, Elder, Deacon, Christ Believer. Humility leads to trust and respect. God teaches us how to be humble.

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other – making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. (Ephesians 4:2 NLT)

My testimony is featured each week here on #SundayScripture – whether it’s part of a sermon, a testimony, or just me writing about the events of the past week. Hopefully it encourages you and inspires you to seek the Lord – and get closer to Him with each new day.

If you wish to learn more about the God I know – then stay tuned to #SundayScripture. The best is yet to come !

Thank you for reading my blog for this day, and may:

The LORD bless you, and keep you.
The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. AMEN.
