It’s easy to get comfortable on this journey, and think that God is happy with us for being a Pastor, a Preacher, a Teacher, or any of a number of titles used in the church and in ministry. But God is really impressed when we are servants first.
The Master was full of praise. ‘Well done My good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together !’ (Matthew 25:21 NLT)
The Lord expects His servants to be faithful to Him in doing what He has commanded us to do in this world as we await His return. We must serve the LORD with gladness !
For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45 NLT)

Every Monday night I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay. Here it is – for the week ending Sunday April 14TH 2019:
# 1 One Year Ago This Week:
“Freedom Hymn” – Austin French
# 1 Two Years Ago This Week:
“I Have This Hope” – Tenth Avenue North
TobyMac scores his 7TH hit on my chart since 2007 with his latest – “Scars” – which he performed LIVE in concert as the 5TH song of a 20-song set on his recent swing through South Florida. Once he got in to the beat and the lyrics of the song I kind of knew that it would be a future hit on the radio.
One of the ministries that my ministry supports financially is the Greater Miami (Florida) chapter of Youth For Christ. This organization gives kids age 11 to 19 an alternative to a life on the streets and of the world. They exist to help young people develop a relationship with Jesus and reach their God-given potential. Each March or April they put on a fundraiser Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch where they spotlight some of the kids who are prospering in the program, as well as some of the leaders who were once kids in the program. They give wonderful testimonies of how redemption and salvation have changed their lives forever – despite their circumstances – and thanks to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
I sometimes wonder what if a Youth For Christ organization had existed in my local area when I was a troubled teen in the early-1980s, and I had joined it ? How much different would my life be today nearly 40 years later ? Would I have joined the military, and stayed working for the military for all of these years ? Would I have followed Christ into my adult life ? Would I have retreated back to the ways of the world ? How different would my life be at 52 than it is now ?
I don’t need to wonder much, for God rescued me and saved me at just the right time – in His time – at age 39. He knew what He was doing when He used His music as an invitation to follow Him. And I did.
This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again next weekend – 4 new entries on Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Monday. I don’t blog on Saturdays. That’s my day of rest.
Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. Enjoy this week my friends. I’m on Twitter @ChrisMDay, and I’m also the man behind the tweets for my church @LivingWatersHFL. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him. AMEN.

Most of the crowd spread their garments on the road ahead of Him, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around Him were shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David ! Blessings on the One who comes in the name of the Lord ! Praise God in highest heaven !” The entire city of Jerusalem was in an uproar as He entered. “Who is this ?” they asked. And the crowds replied, “It’s Jesus – the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” (Matthew 21:8-11 NLT)
