Ladies and Gentlemen – I present to you my ‘Tuesday Night Grab Bag O’ Thoughts’ for this first week of March:
1. $55.20 – That’s what I paid for 90 Lipitor tablets at the Publix Pharmacy this afternoon. That’s a tad bit more than 61¢ per tablet. Apparently my health plan saved me $216.75 for this prescription. I guess if I had no health insurance then the Lipitor would have cost me $3.02 per tablet. Thank You BlueCross BlueShield !
2. I keep meeting miserable people in public places. I think it’s still nighttime for them. They have not awoken yet. I pray that they will someday be reborn and reclaim their lives from Satan. Join me on this fantastic journey, won’t you ?
3. I don’t like Daylight Savings Time. Life would be so much simpler if we just stayed on Standard Time year-round. I could use the extra daylight early in the morning when I’m driving to work – not after 7:30 PM at night. I’m usually thinking about bedtime after 7:30 PM on most nights.
4. Say what you will about the man, but I really like Mr. Donald Trump. I think he gets a bad rap that he doesn’t always deserve. A lot of people don’t like him because he’s financially successful. A lot of people don’t like anyone that makes more money than they do.
5. One of my favourite game shows in television history is about to make a comeback on TBS. I’m looking forward to the return of “The Match Game” later this year. Bring on the ‘C-list’ stars !
6. I don’t believe that there is a such thing as a ‘peaceful protest’. If you are protesting then you are disturbing the peace. There are so many ways to change the world for the better without disturbing the peace.
7. Yesterday afternoon Dallas Texas was shivering with cold rain, sleet, and even wet snow with temperatures in the mid-30s. At the same time it was sunny and in the mid-40s way up in Boston Massachusetts. That’s the way the weather rolls in early-March.
8. I will soon be changing my WordPress avatar from an old picture of my childhood Manx cat Fluffy to a recent picture of me. I asked my brother to go through the hundreds of pictures of me that he has in his possession and convert a bunch of them to avatars for use on here. I asked him to do that a couple of weeks ago, so it should be done within the next several months. (Yes Danny this is another reminder.)
9. I think I’ve seen every single episode ever made (150+) of “Deal Or No Deal” on NBC. It’s as fresh and exciting today as it was when it first hit the airwaves in December 2005.
10. I’ve already done 11 editions of ‘The Chris Day Club’ here on this blog. I think I have enough material for future editions to take me through the remainder of the year. I have a more common name than I ever thought.
