Here’s the bridge of the song. It actually echoes my Pastor’s powerful sermon yesterday morning on “The Power Of Praise & Worship”:

♫ Praise God !  Praise God !
From whom all blessings flow
Praise Him !  Praise Him !
For the wonders of His love
Praise God !  Praise God !
From whom all blessings flow
Praise Him !  Praise Him !
For the wonders of His love
His amazing love ♫

Next weekend’s chart will be unpublished. I’ll present my next Top 10 chart in 2 weeks on Monday October 05TH 2020.

This concludes another season here at #CountUp after 11½ weekends and 47 blog posts in a row every Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. I hope that you enjoyed reading along and tracking with me over these past 2½ months. I’ve tried to be enlightening, entertaining, and informing – all at the same time. Now it’s time to get refreshed and rejuvenated.

I’ll be back for an all-new season of blogging in a couple of weeks – starting with “Sunday Scripture” on Sunday October 04TH 2020. I hope that you’ll join me then. In the meantime feel free to look back at older blog posts that you may have missed, or go outside and get some fresh air !

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. I’m also on Twitter and Flickr.

Be blessed my friends !  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sunday Scripture

The apostles returned to Jesus from their ministry tour and told Him all they had done and taught. Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and His apostles didn’t even have time to eat. So they left by boat for a quiet place – where they could be alone. (Mark 6:30-32 NLT)

My Top 5 Hits RETRO – 2000

Every 2ND, 3RD, and 4TH Friday of the month I post the Top 5 of one of my classic hit music charts based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from either 15, 20, or 30 years ago this weekend (rotating each week).

It’s the 3RD Friday of the month, so I go back 20 years ago. Here it is – for the week ending Sunday September 17TH 2000:

  1. “Higher” – Creed
  2. “It’s My Life” – Bon Jovi
  3. “Music” – Madonna
  4. “Most Girls” – Pink
  5. “Come On Over (All I Want Is You)” – Christina Aguilera

11 weeks at # 1 in May, June, and July wasn’t enough for Creed’s “Higher” back in 2000. It returned to # 1 on this week exactly 20 years ago to add another 2 weeks at the top. It was (by far) my # 1 smash of the entire year that was Y2K.

Bon Jovi’s “It’s My Life” has held up well over these past 2 decades. It’s still in heavy rotation on my iPod Shuffles that play at my desk at work. It’s known as their last big hit (after 14 years from 1986 to 2000). It’s also their most-played music video on YouTube. I’ve seen Bon Jovi LIVE in concert twice – in 2006 and 2013.

It’s halftime my friends. I’ll be back on Sunday and Monday with 2 more blog posts for this weekend. Enjoy your Saturday. Thanks for going RETRO with me !

Summer Of 2020 Season Finale Weekend

Happy Thursday September 17TH 2020. Weekends begin on Thursdays here on my blog, so that means it’s time for another weekend of blogging. This is my season finale weekend. After this weekend’s series of blog posts I’ll be going on hiatus for the rest of the month.

At the conclusion of this weekend I will have published 47 blog posts in a row every Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday over the past 11½ weeks. It’s time to take a break and get refreshed and rejuvenated.

A little behind-the-scenes information here: My blog posts are written a day or two in advance of their actual publish date and time. To maintain consistency all of my posts are scheduled for publishing at 3 AM U.S. East Coast time on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays. Occasionally I’ll write and publish a special Tuesday blog post.

I chose 3 AM as a publishing time to take advantage of “prime time” online in Europe, Asia, and Australia. I actually have more readers overseas than I do stateside. Some shout-outs: Thank You Ireland, United Kingdom, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India, South Korea, Japan, Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand for checking-in. I hope that you continue to find my blog educational, enlightening, and entertaining. I know that it’s not for everyone. But if it’s for you then I’ll keep doing this for you.

I know that your time is valuable online. I try to keep my blog posts at a limit of less than 3 minutes. That means that you should be able to read any single blog post in less than 3 minutes. Sometimes I exceed that limit – particularly with “Sunday Scripture” – but I try to remain “short-winded”.

Finally this is a political-free blog. I’ll never discuss any political topics on here, online anywhere, or anywhere in public.

I’ll be back tomorrow (at 3 AM) with my regular Friday blog post – RETRO.
