The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club

Probably the best part of recovering from a cold is regaining my MASSIVE appetite. During the peak of my cold I still had an appetite, but it just wasn’t MASSIVE. It was more like normal – average – mundane.

I know that I’m pretty much fully recovered from this most recent bout of the filthy germs because yesterday (Sunday) afternoon I managed to eat a large Little Caesars pepperoni pizza all by myself in less than half an hour flat.

Today for Lunch I enjoyed the mother of all Chinese Food meals courtesy of my good friends at Shanghai & Tokyo (in Homestead‘s Waterstone Plaza). It took me closer to 45 minutes to wrap-up that MASSIVE meal at my desk at work. I was quite full when I was all done with it. I could barely move, yet it felt so good. 😀

Because I’m such a loyal and faithful lunchtime customer of Shanghai & Tokyo I typically get two fortune cookies for the price of none !

Your destiny lies before you, choose wisely.

Use your natural versatility to keep from being bored.

Until next time my friends may the good fortune cookie message be tucked inside a crunchy and delicious fortune cookie !

The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club

Ladies & Gentlemen I present to you for your pure entertainment pleasure the continuing blogging saga that is ‘The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club’. It inspired an entire month-long message series at Life Pointe Church earlier this year. Ela stated that (aside from ‘Bedtime Stories’) this is her favourite periodic series here on this blog, and Rebecca recently demanded its quick return during an unintentional extended hiatus.

Here we go with a brand new fortune cookie message that I received earlier today at Lunch at Panda Express:

‘You will be recognized as a leader.’

Ironically I’m posting this blog entry at the same exact time that I’m watching Pastor Paul‘s excellent teaching from this past Sunday morning (that I missed). It’s all about being a leader – being salt and light – changing the world around you – being a Disciple of God. It’s on the Life Pointe Church home page if you wish to check it out again (or for the first time). Good stuff.

1 Peter 2:9 (NLT, 2ND Ed.)
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club

TODAY I enjoyed an unusually late (after 12:30 PM) Lunch at an unusually busy Panda Express aqui en el Este de Homestead. I had a delightful plate of Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and a Chicken Egg Roll.

—> DID YOU KNOW that ‘Orange Chicken’ is the # 1 Internet search term (that’s used to find this blog) in the entire history of this blog ?

Here’s my Fortune Cookie Message for this MASSIVE Lunch:

‘Enjoy the good luck a companion brings you.’

Until next time my friends may the good fortune cookie message be yours indeed !
