We have a new # 1 smash this week, as Matt Maher’s debut on this chart becomes the 20TH # 1 hit since its rebirthing Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017. It’s also 1 of 3 hits this week that were performed LIVE at “Worship Night In America” at the BB&T Center in Sunrise Florida a couple of weekends ago. (“The Way” and “Resurrection Power” were the others.) That was such a fantastic concert. I’ll be talking about it for a long time !
Before that concert I had no idea who Pat Barrett was, and then he sang to God. Once I heard “The Way (New Horizon)” I sang along (having never heard it before). I determined in that moment that it was an instant out-of-the-box smash. And then last week I heard it on K-LOVE for the first time, and I got so excited that I immediately tweeted them about that song, and even Pat joined in on all the fun. That tweet has now received over 1,650 impressions in 5 days.
