  2. “Even Then” – Micah Tyler [2 / 14TH]
  3. “Well Done” – The Afters [3 / 5TH]

  10. “Survivor” – Zach Williams [10 / 9TH]

# 1 One Year Ago This Week – “Different” – Micah Tyler

Casting Crowns remain at # 1 for the 10TH week in a row in a rather quiet week on my chart. Nationally on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart Lauren Daigle remains at # 1 for the 10TH week in a row.

I’m currently on vacation in cold and cloudy and dark and gloomy Ohio. It’s one of the coldest Novembers of the past 100 years, and I just happen to be here for half of it. This is my 10TH day here, and I think I’ve seen the sun for a small portion on about 3 days. A few days ago we had fog, rain, freezing rain, ice, and snow – all in a matter of hours. We hit 52°F / 11°C yesterday. It was and will be the only day in the 50s while I’m here. I’m ready for the return of the 70s and 80s back home in South Florida this weekend !

Thanksgiving Day is just 3 days away. May you enjoy the day with family, friends, fellowship, food, and football.

I give thanks to you – O Lord my God – with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever. (Psalm 86:12, ESV)

Aside from this flagship Monday night post my blog remains on hiatus until Sunday November 25TH 2018. I’ll return with “Sunday Scripture” and my new chart next Monday. I’ll return to 4 blogs per weekend starting on Thursday November 29TH 2018.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. Enjoy this week my friends. I’m on Twitter @ChrisMDay, and I’m also the man behind the tweets for my church @LivingWatersHFL. May God bless you – always and forever.

The Major’s Top 10 Hits – Week 91

Every Monday night I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference. Here it is – for the week ending Sunday November 11TH 2018:

  1. “Only Jesus” – Casting Crowns [# 1 last week / 11TH week on chart]
  2. “Even Then” – Micah Tyler [2 / 13TH]
  3. “Well Done” – The Afters [4 / 4TH]
  4. “Nobody Loves Me Like You” – Chris Tomlin [10 / 2ND]

  10. “Survivor” – Zach Williams [9 / 8TH]

“Only Jesus” still reigns – and the song is still at # 1 this week for the 9TH week in a row.

Looks like Chris Tomlin has another big hit on his hands. His “Home” spent 2 weeks at # 1 in June 2017, and his “Resurrection Power” spent 26 weeks on my chart – peaking in its 25TH week at # 3.

7 charts remain in 2018. On a special Tuesday January 01ST 2019 blog post I’ll countup my Top 18 of 2018 based on chart performance during the year.

You can check out all of my # 1 smash hits from October 1995 to January 2010 by clicking on “THE MAJOR’S CHART-TOPPERS” hyperlink atop the web edition of this blog.

This concludes my weekend of 3 blog posts. My blog is on hiatus until Sunday November 25TH 2018; however, my Top 10 chart and analysis will continue on every Monday night.

The Major’s Top 5 Hits RETRO – 1998

Every Friday night I post the Top 5 of one of my classic hit music charts based on personal preference from either 10, 20, or 30 years ago (rotating each week). Here it is – for the week ending Sunday November 08TH 1998:

  1. “Jump Jive An’ Wail” – Brian Setzer Orchestra
  2. “One Week” – Barenaked Ladies
  3. “Tearin’ Up My Heart” – ‘N Sync
  4. “Real World” – Matchbox 20
  5. “Thank U” – Alanis Morissette

As I look back at these classic hit music charts from 10, 20, and 30 years ago – I remember my life, and what I was doing as those songs played on the radio every 3 hours or less.

I often wonder what my life will be like, and what I will be doing, and where I will be doing it – 10, 20, and 30 years from now.

I was living and working in Homestead Florida 10, 20, and 30 years ago. In fact I’m still living in the same home as I was 10 and 20 years ago. My workplace is the same today as it was 10, 20, and 30 years ago. Only the music on the radio has changed over the years.

I probably won’t be here in Homestead Florida in 10 years. I’ll probably be retired, and living in a smaller and quieter town further north in South Central Florida.

I wonder if I’ll be blogging on here in 10 years ?  I was 10 years ago.

“The Major’s Top 5 Hits RETRO” returns in 3 weeks on Friday November 30TH 2018.
