8TH ANNIVERSARY – This edition marks the 8TH anniversary of when my weekly music chart was reborn after a 7-year hiatus. It actually wasn’t really planned. It just happened following an inspirational 7-day / 1,226.5-mile Presidents’ Day holiday week road-trip to and from the Florida Panhandle. That road-trip included a fun concert in Tallahassee headlined by TobyMac with Ryan Stevenson and the late and great Mandisa among 2 of the supporting acts. It’s also when I discovered the existence of K-LOVE for the first time, and I’ve been listening ever since.

SPOTIFY – You can hear “My Top 10 Hits” anytime by accessing my CountUp playlist on Spotify. All 10 hits are there from top to bottom. You can hear them in order from # 1 to # 10, or you can shuffle them. My playlist will be updated every weekend (usually before the actual chart is presented here on Mondays). You can link to it here.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. God used loud music on the radio in South Florida to reach me in August of 2006. I’ve been testifying about Him ever since.

Be blessed my friends !  May our God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sunday Scripture

Greetings my friends. It is Sunday February 16TH 2025, and this is the day that our LORD has made. Let us rejoice. Let us be glad in it. Let us celebrate this great new day of believing, following, trusting, loving, and being more like our Lord + Savior Jesus Christ. Let us love our neighbor as ourself.

I finally finished my sermon for next Sunday (including PowerPoint Presentation) titled “63 & 34”. It’s all about God’s guidance, direction, wisdom, and voice – through the storm. When the manmade noise is silenced all around – you can hear His whispers. It’s a great time to talk to Him. It’s a perfect time to listen from Him.

One of my favorite two verses of Scripture are featured in my sermon – Philippians 4:6-7.

Now that “63 & 34” is done – I’m looking ahead to see what I want to write and preach about next. A verse-by-verse series of sermons on one of Paul’s letters is very likely. First Timothy is a leading contender.

My testimony is featured each week here on #SundayScripture – whether it’s part of a sermon, a testimony, or just me writing about the events of the past week. Hopefully it encourages you and inspires you to seek the Lord – and get closer to Him with each new day.

If you wish to learn more about the God I know – then stay tuned to #SundayScripture. The best is yet to come !

Thank you for reading my blog for this day, and may:

The LORD bless you, and keep you.
The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. AMEN.

Arcadia Florida

Welcome back to #TravelThursday. Last week I stated that I was spending the day visiting Arcadia Florida for the first time ever, and that I would write about it this week. That didn’t happen, as I got sick with the 3-day flu on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. My daytrip to Arcadia has been postponed to Thursday February 27TH 2025. That gives me a little more time to plan it all out. I plan to park my car and walk and browse the entire historic downtown district. I’ve already got my map of the area downloaded.

Arcadia is one of the oldest incorporated cities in the region. It became a city in 1886. A year later with the creation of DeSoto County (carved out of Manatee County) – Arcadia became the County Seat. DeSoto County was named after explorer Hernando de Soto. Arcadia was named after 25-year-old Arcadia Albritton. She was the daughter of local pioneers Thomas and Fannie Albritton.

Footnote: It’s the start of Presidents’ Day Weekend here in the U.S.A. – the unofficial start of Spring Break here in Florida – starting with the week leading-up to the Daytona 500. It’s historically been a big Florida travel weekend for me. For the 2ND year in a row – I’m staying put, as I’m already living in paradise. This weekend in 2023 – I bought my dream home in my dream neighborhood. In 2021 I visited this area. In 2017 I drove through this area en route to and from the Florida Panhandle. In 2016 I drove through this area en route to Walt Disney World. And in 2015 it was my first recorded visit to this area. I took photos of many of the murals all around downtown Lake Placid.

15 years ago I was in the Panama Canal. I’ll look back at that – next #TravelThursday. Let’s keep traveling together.
