This just in. I already have it. I know Jesus.
I'm almost 59 years old. I've been online for 33 years - starting with my own dial-up bulletin board system in 1993 - and continuing with AOL, my own dot.com web site, Myspace, WordPress, Twitter / X, Flickr, and Facebook.

This past Summer when gas prices shot past $4 per gallon I told everyone that listened to me that gas prices had peaked, and that they would plummet by as much as a dollar per gallon before Thanksgiving. Everyone laughed at me. As it turns out I was only half right. Gas prices have actually dropped by more than 50% in many locations, and we’re now getting nearly two gallons of gas for the same price as a single gallon cost just 4 to 5 months ago. In fact gas prices are now at their lowest levels since the Spring of 2005 !
Florida is currently 25TH in the nation (right in the middle) as far as gas prices are concerned, but the Miami area is actually the 28TH most expensive metro area in the nation to buy gas.
Here are the TOP 5 metro areas in the U.S. where gas is the cheapest:
5. Wichita Kansas – $1.985 – Never been there. I’ve never set food in Kansas.
4. Corpus Christi Texas – $1.974 – I’d like to visit this place. I think I’d like it.
3. Kansas City Missouri – $1.937 – Never been there. I’ve seen it on “Cops” a lot.
2. Des Moines Iowa – $1.936 – Never been there. What’s there ?
1. Tulsa Oklahoma – $1.932 – Never been there. Been to Oklahoma City though.

It’s the 1ST Sunday of November in 2008, and Life Pointe Church in Homestead Florida is open for business !
Setup was pretty much done and over with in record-breaking time this morning – before 7 AM. That’s because a few of our folks were still on Daylight Savings Time, so they arrived at 6 AM thinking it was 7 AM. When the 7 AM crew arrived (such as Anne J. and myself) there was very little left to do, so Anne J. cranked up the Starbucks coffee while I cranked up the hit music.
All three services were jammed today with total overall atendance approaching the mid-400s and pretty much split relatively equal among each of them. This church is alive, for we are the church !
Pastor Travis gave a powerful and very relevant teaching this morning as the conclusion of the ‘Art Of War’ message series. Today’s topic was subtitled ‘Divide & Conquer’. If we’re double-minded – divided in our heart and soul – then we’re unstable in our ways, and we can’t take charge and conquer. We must face up to our weak spots – our weakest links – because that’s where Satan attacks. We must stare down the devil and call his bluff. We must always expect that the devil is getting ready to attack at any time and at any place. We must avoid those times and places where the devil has consumed us in the past. We must not make it easy for the devil to unleash his dirty deeds.
John 17:20-23 (NLT, 2ND Ed.)
20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message.
21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one — as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
22 “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one.
23 I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.
My brother from another mother has more 4-1-1 regarding this morning that was at the L-P-C.
