My Top 10 Hits – Week 344

Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back over 45 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday September 17TH 2023 – the 344TH week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

TW LW WKS SONG TITLE ARTIST / SITE
1 1 9 Praise You Anywhere
[4TH week @ # 1]
Brandon Lake
2 3 5 Hallelujah Feeling Caleb & John
3 2 10 The King Is Alive Jordan Feliz
4 4 6 Praise The Lord Micah Tyler
5 6 11 To Not Worship You MercyMe
6 9 3 Parking Lot Cochren & Co.
7 10 7 Heaven Changes Everything Big Daddy Weave
8 8 6 Jesus Does We The Kingdom
9 7 14 Every Hour David Leonard Ft. Josh Baldwin
10 1 What Are We Waiting For ? for King + Country

# 1 This Week In:
2022 – “Good Morning Mercy” – Jason Crabb
2021 – “Into The Wild” – Josh Baldwin
2020 – “God So Loved” – We The Kingdom
2019 – “Nobody (But Jesus)” – Casting Crowns Ft. Matthew West
2018 – “Only Jesus” – Casting Crowns
2017 – “Broken Things” – Matthew West

BRANDON LAKE – His “Praise You Anywhere” is still at the pinnacle of my chart, and that surprises even me. It’s a great song – my favorite ever from Brandon – but the competition is so hot right now with lots of great songs in worship to God. I thought Jordan Feliz, Micah Tyler, and MercyMe would hit # 1 with their respective songs, but they all fell a bit short. Now Caleb & John are knocking on the # 1 door with their debut smash “Hallelujah Feeling”. We’ll see if it reaches the top next weekend.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 4 new entries – known as #TravelThursday, #SundayScripture, a special #YomKippur post on Monday, and #MusicMonday on Tuesday.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. I’m also on X and Flickr.

Be blessed my friends !  May our God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sunday Scripture

Greetings my friends. It is Sunday September 17TH 2023, and this is the day that our LORD has made. Let us rejoice. Let us be glad in it. Let us celebrate this great new day of believing, following, trusting, loving, and being more like our Lord + Savior Jesus Christ. Let us love our neighbor as ourself.

6 months ago I moved in to my dream home in my dream neighborhood in my dream part of Florida – 185 miles away from my Homestead homes of the past 36 years. 7 months ago I bought my new home. I thank God every single day for providing for me and bringing me here to my current place. With each new day that He has made – I rejoice. Every morning I press the remote control that raises the motorized blinds out in my lanai, and it reveals the landscape behind my home. I thank God for His glorious creation. I thank Him for blessing this beautiful neighborhood and all of its residents.

It’s “Back To Church” day at my new church here in Sebring. That’s a lot of fun and food after our 10:30 AM service. I’m looking forward to hanging out with my new church family in fellowship with one another.

And now here on #SundayScripture it’s the continuation of the refresh, renew, and reboot of my sermon on “Pray & Believe” – originally preached on Sunday June 16TH 2019. Here’s Part 8:

[CONTINUED FROM LAST WEEK]

Peter didn’t stay very long. God sent him on a mission – to continue to evangelize and spread the Good News throughout the lands. God’s Message continued on despite opposition and persecution. God’s Message continues on 2,000 years later. Today – you and I – we have been sent on a mission – to be disciples – to go and tell – to evangelize and spread the Good News throughout the lands. That’s everywhere we go.

Peter lived for another 20 years after that. Meanwhile King Herod’s demise came very quickly – like a week or two later. It was a wonderful day. He had on his royal robes. He was on his royal throne. He was living large and in charge. He gave a speech to his loyal followers. He received a great ovation. His subjects referred to him as a God. And then – as the Bible says:

Instantly an angel of the Lord struck (King) Herod with a sickness – because he accepted the people’s worship instead of giving the glory to God. So he was consumed with worms and died. (Acts 12:23)

And that ended the short 3-year reign of King Herod Agrippa of Judea.

I like the Book of Acts. A lot of great stories there. A lot of great stories involving angels of the Lord. Angels accomplishing the work of the Lord. Angels spreading the Good News of the Lord. Angels performing miracles of the Lord. Angels protecting the people of the Lord. Angels protecting us.

Angels are spiritual. Angels are heavenly. But we must never worship angels. Angels are inferior to Christ. Angels are servants of God. The Son is far greater than the angels. God said to Jesus, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” He didn’t say that to any angel. God said, “Let all of God’s angels worship Him.” (meaning His Son).

[TO BE CONTINUED NEXT WEEK]

If you wish to learn more about the God I know then stay tuned to #SundayScripture. The best is yet to come !

Thank you for reading my blog for this day, and may:

The LORD bless you, and keep you.
The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. AMEN.

2017 – “Wonder” – Hillsong UNITED

WHAT A SUMMER ! – 15 weekly hit music charts and 23 positive and encouraging hits (the same as last Summer) have created this cumulative hit music chart of my Top 10 hits of the Summer Of 2023 based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay. This past Summer season is defined as U.S. Memorial Day Weekend (last Sunday of May) to U.S. Labor Day Weekend (first Sunday of September). This chart is an End-Of-Summer tradition for me.

SOLO AT THE TOP – For the first Summer of this current era – a solo artist led my chart. As you can see above – bands / groups led my chart for 6 Summers in a row. This year Terrian scored my # 1 smash of the Summer with her anthemic “Big God”. It’s the only song to spend all 15 weeks of the Summer on my chart. Solo artists dominated my chart this Summer with 7 out of my Top 10 hits.

DAN BREMNES – Only 1 artist managed to repeat this Summer, and that’s the man from British Columbia Canada. His “Fingerprints” were all over my chart this Summer, and last Summer “Hold You Tight” finished as my # 3 song of the Summer. What do you have for next Summer Dan ?

2023 – Get ready for the final 16 weeks of 2023, and after it’s all over – I’ll #CountUp my Top 23 Of 2023.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 3 new entries – known as #TravelThursday, #SundayScripture, and #MusicMonday.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. I’m also on X and Flickr.
