My Top 10 Hits – Week 318

Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back nearly 45 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday March 19TH 2023 – the 318TH week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

# 1 This Week In:
2022 – “Brighter Days” – Blessing Offor
2021 – “Say I Won’t” – MercyMe
2020 – “Almost Home” – MercyMe
2019 – “Confidence” – Sanctus Real
2018 – “No One Like Our God” – Lincoln Brewster
2017 – “I Have This Hope” – Tenth Avenue North

BLESSING OFFOR – He’s back with his 3RD hit overall (and 2ND solo hit). “Believe” is his follow-up to his # 1 debut smash “Brighter Days”. It was actually released late last year. It took a while to finally reach my chart, as the song and its lyrics are catching on with me.

THE JOY FMK-LOVE is not available over the radio airwaves up in my new area of Florida (Highlands County). Driving towards the area – I lose the last of 3 signals broadcasting K-LOVE in South and Southwest Florida just south of Lake Placid – about 25 miles from my new neighborhood. That’s when I switch over to THE JOY FM to continue listening (and singing along) to my favorite hits on the radio. I also listen to it on my radio in my new home. Of course – I can still listen to K-LOVE online via their app on my iPhone and iPad, and as soon as I get an Amazon Echo Dot (already ordered) for my new home – I can simply ask Alexa to “play K-LOVE”.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 4 new entries – known as #TravelThursday, #RetroFriday#SundayScripture, and #Top10Monday.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. I’m also on Twitter and Flickr.

Be blessed my friends !  May our God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back nearly 45 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday March 12TH 2023 – the 317TH week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

BRANDON HEATH – He’s my # 23 artist over the past 6 years, and he’s got his 3RD hit on my chart. Last year – “See Me Through It” was my # 1 smash for the entire year. His follow-up may not be that big, but it’s still a good song with good lyrics that share God’s Good News. It’s got a simple message. No matter what your situation is. You are here. You are loved. God is good. And that’s enough.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 4 new entries – known as #TravelThursday, #RetroFriday#SundayScripture, and #Top10Monday.

My Top 5 Hits RETRO – 2003

Hello again retro music fans. Every Friday I post the Top 5 of one of my classic hit music charts based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from either 15, 20, 25, or 35 years ago this weekend (rotating each week).

It’s the 2ND Friday of the month, so I go back 20 years ago. Here it is – for the week ending Sunday March 09TH 2003:

And here’s an actual snapshot of my Top 5 exactly the way it appeared on my web site at the time:

That’s from the 750TH overall edition and 391ST online edition of my weekly hit music chart – known at the time as my “Pure Dance Chart”. It was right in the middle of the 2ND era of my chart that lasted a little over 14 years from October 1995 to January 2010. For a little over 2 years from 2002 to 2004 I was immersed in the #EDM culture, and my chart reflected that short era of my life.

Dreamy trance topped my hit music chart 20 years ago this weekend – with Noémi’s “In My Dreams”. I had a sense of humor there with my comments underneath the title (The Major’s “Stompin’ In A Marching Band” romp). I wrote that because you can stomp in a marching band to the beat of that hard trance song.

Next #RetroFriday I’ll go back 25 years ago to March 1998. It’s when Trine, Sieber, and Jesper requested loving superpowers.

It’s halftime my friends. I’ll be back on Sunday and Monday with 2 more blog posts for this weekend. Enjoy your Saturday. Thanks for going retro with me !
