My Top 10 Hits – Week 355

Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back over 45 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday December 03RD 2023 – the 355TH week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

TW LW WKS SONG TITLE ARTIST / SITE
1 1 7 I Thank God
[5TH week @ # 1]
Housefires Ft. JWLKRS Worship
2 2 16 Hallelujah Feeling Caleb & John
3 5 14 Parking Lot Cochren & Co.
4 4 17 Praise The Lord Micah Tyler
5 3 20 Praise You Anywhere Brandon Lake
6 6 6 Any More Cain
7 7 4 I Believe Phil Wickham
8 1 Grave Robber Crowder
9 9 9 Firm Foundation (He Won’t) Cody Carnes
10 10 6 Faithfully TobyMac

# 1 This Week In:
2022 – “Ain’t Nobody” – Cody Carnes
2021 – “On Our Way” – MercyMe Ft. Sam Wesley
2020 – “Every Step Of The Way” – Cade Thompson
2019 – “Dead Man Walking” – Jeremy Camp
2018 – “Even Then” – Micah Tyler
2017 – “Control (Somehow You Want Me)” – Tenth Avenue North

COCHREN & CO. – Ascending into my Top 3 this week is the current hit from Michael Cochren and his band. Their 7TH hit since 2019 continues to gain momentum. It tells the story of the start of his salvation – on a Tuesday night – in a “Parking Lot”. On a personal note – it comes real close to telling the story of the start of my own salvation 17 years ago – on a 2-lane road – at dawn.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 3 new entries – known as #TravelThursday, #SundayScripture, and #MusicMonday.

Your likes, follows, and comments are always appreciated. Thank You for being part of my online ministry to share God’s Good News and win souls for Christ through His music. I’m also on X and Flickr.

My Top 10 Hits – Week 354

Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back over 45 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday November 26TH 2023 – the 354TH week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

7 7 3 I Believe Phil Wickham
8 8 21 To Not Worship You MercyMe
9 9 8 Firm Foundation (He Won’t) Cody Carnes
10 10 5 Faithfully TobyMac

# 1 This Week In:
2022 – “Ain’t Nobody” – Cody Carnes
2021 – “On Our Way” – MercyMe Ft. Sam Wesley
2020 – “Jericho” – Andrew Ripp
2019 – “Dead Man Walking” – Jeremy Camp
2018 – “Even Then” – Micah Tyler
2017 – “Different” – Micah Tyler

NO CHANGE (REPEAT) – For the 2ND week in a row all of the songs hold steady at their respective chart positions. I listened to none of these songs – and very little Christian music overall – while I was away on vacation in North Texas. I mostly listened to secular music from the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, ’00s, ’10s, and ’20s – and a whole lot of Taylor Swift (courtesy of my nieces – ages 13½ and 10½). And then of course since Thanksgiving Day many Christian stations (particularly K-LOVE) have been stunting with Christmas music. The hits return today, so next Monday I hope to present a Top 10 chart with much more activity – and hopefully a few new entries.

SPOTIFY – I learned a lot about this music streaming service from my brother last week, and now I have gift cards for it. I plan to create a public playlist for my Top 10 each week. I just need to figure out how it all works. (The first thing that I need to do is to create an account on the service. I’ll do that soon. I hear that Premium Individual is the way to go.)

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 3 new entries – known as #TravelThursday, #SundayScripture, and #MusicMonday.

My Top 10 Hits – Week 353

Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back over 45 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday November 19TH 2023 – the 353RD week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

TW LW WKS SONG TITLE ARTIST / SITE
1 1 5 I Thank God
[3RD week @ # 1]
Housefires Ft. JWLKRS Worship
2 2 14 Hallelujah Feeling Caleb & John
3 3 18 Praise You Anywhere Brandon Lake
4 4 15 Praise The Lord Micah Tyler
5 5 12 Parking Lot Cochren & Co.
6 6 4 Any More Cain
7 7 2 I Believe Phil Wickham
8 8 20 To Not Worship You MercyMe
9 9 7 Firm Foundation (He Won’t) Cody Carnes
10 10 4 Faithfully TobyMac

# 1 This Week In:
2022 – “Ain’t Nobody” – Cody Carnes
2021 – “On Our Way” – MercyMe Ft. Sam Wesley
2020 – “No Hold On Me” – Matty Mullins
2019 – “Fear No More” – Building 429
2018 – “Only Jesus” – Casting Crowns
2017 – “Different” – Micah Tyler

NO CHANGE – It’s the weekend before Thanksgiving here in the U.S., and that generally means frozen playlists on the radio and little to no movement on the music charts. This chart is no exception, as every song remains at their respective chart position from last week. By next weekend – Christmas music will be introduced to radio playlists – starting with Christian and Adult Contemporary. Some stations will flip entirely to Christmas tracks – like The-JOY-FM in Central Florida.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 3 new entries – with a special #ThanksgivingDay post on Thursday, #SundayScripture, and #MusicMonday.

PHIL WICKHAM – His 9TH hit on my chart since 2018 is his follow-up to his first # 1 smash (“This Is Our God”). You can always count on Phil to release an uplifting and high-energy official music video to accompany his hits. “I Believe” is no exception:
