Monday Night Countdown

It’s time for my pal Phil‘s favourite weekly series here on this blog, and this week it’s an all-new TOP 5 countdown featuring the TOP 5 Internet search terms that were used to find this blog over the past 30 days:

Let’s kick it:

5.  Funny Restaurant Names / Funny Chinese Restaurant Names / Funny Thai Restaurant Names  – 72 views

4.  Orange Chicken – 108 views

3.  Tsunami – 143 views

2.  Homestead Pavilion – 144 views

1.  Biggest Cat In The World / Largest Cat / Giant Cat / Massive Cat / 44-Pound Feline – 199 views

There’s only one real surprise in this TOP 5 countdown, and that would have to be the ‘orange chicken’ entry. The Monday April 14TH 2008 edition of ‘The Fortune Cookie Message Of The Week Club’ is (believe it or not) the # 2 most-read blog entry (out of over 460) in the entire history of this blog. It was an unassuming edition in which I featured a picture of an appetizing bowl of orange chicken from Panda Express. That single blog entry from nearly four months ago continues to generate up to 10 new views per day !

Some things you just can’t explain.

Blatant Promotion

It was another record-shattering week here on the big blog featuring the busiest Wednesday and the busiest Sunday in the history of this blog. It was also the busiest week ever, and it was the first week ever in which all 7 days recorded triple-digit views. THANK YOU my friends for doing all of that !

TOMORROW on the big blog be sure to check out another fascinating edition of the ‘Monday Night Countdown’ featuring a TOP 5 countdown that includes lovable hugable cats and deadly destructive tsunamis on it. SAY WHAT ?

Then be sure to get ready for the long-running flagship weekly series here on this blog – the ‘Tuesday Night Grab Bag O’ Thoughts’. It’s what I’ll be thinking about after work on Tuesday, and it’s what you’ll be reading about shortly thereafter.

Until we blog again have a peaceful, quiet, and relaxing Sunday night, and REMEMBER THIS !

It’s the first day of August in 2008, and August has been quite significant in my Life over the past couple of years. Last year it signified the beginning of a once unthinkable career rejuvenation at work. This past year has been – by far – the greatest year of my 23-year USAF / DOD career. It just keeps on getting better too !  Two years ago in August 2006 I was saved and reborn. God guided and directed me onto His fantastic journey. It’s always exciting following Him !

I’m planning to sleep-in tomorrow (Saturday) morning. It’s been a long crazy week at work, and I need the relaxation. Later tomorrow I think I’ll go to the mall and see a movie and eat dinner with a friend of mine. It’s been a real long time since I did something like that. I’m looking forward to it !

Be sure to check out this groovy blog tomorrow to see what’s up. Don’t forget about the slammin’ ‘Saturday Night Fever’ disco party streaming LIVE on here starting at 9 PM. It’s three solid gold hours of decadent disco music from 1978 with your host with the most – ‘Dr. Chris Da Cool Disco Cat’ (DC.DC.DC) !

(Just kidding. Maybe I’ll do a Saturday Night movie review on here in lieu of that.)

Until then keep it real, and REMEMBER THIS Bubblicious television commercial from about 28 years ago !

Good Night Ela !

Friday Night Blogroll Review

Greetings My Friends,

It’s Friday night, so you know what that means here on the big blog:

Pastor Travis shares a frightening picture of Casey.

My favourite blogger in the entire world is LL Phil J. His daily blog has a status of ‘can’t miss’ as far as I’m concerned. This cat reminds me of me more than anyone else I know. It’s always a (fun) chore trying to pick out my favourite blog entry of the week from his blog. I know this is repetitive, but you’ve just gotta check out his ‘Thought Bearing Lobster‘ from this past Thursday. His ‘Thoughts’ on Thursdays are pretty much his version of my long-running flagship series on this blog – the ‘Tuesday Night Grab Bag O’ Thoughts’. I adore his Thursday ‘Thoughts’ !

Jesse ponders about who his friends are.

Ritz reveals how Internet surfers find his blog.

Rebecca does the same as Ritz, but she did it two days earlier.

Birthdays are a BIG deal at Luci’s house, and as usual water is involved.

Gricelda reports on the start of Youth Camp for our emerging leaders at Life Pointe Church.

I got a brief mention on David C.’s ‘Sunday’ report from Life Pointe Church. In it I am ‘vacuuming the carpet’. Thank You David for the keen observation of the week !
