My Top 10 Hits – Week 316

Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back nearly 45 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday March 05TH 2023 – the 316TH week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

1 1 7 The Lord’s Prayer (It’s Yours)
[2ND week @ # 1]
Matt Maher
2 3 14 I See Grace Micah Tyler
3 2 12 My Story Your Glory Matthew West
4 4 3 Running Home Cochren & Co.
5 5 4 I’m So Blessed Cain
6 6 12 First Things First Consumed By Fire
7 8 2 That’s Enough Brandon Heath
8 9 5 I Believe It (The Life Of Jesus) Jon Reddick
9 9 Don’t Lose Heart Steven Curtis Chapman Ft. Mitchell Tenpenny
10 1 This Is Our God Phil Wickham

# 1 This Week In:
2022 – “Jesus Is Coming Back” – Jordan Feliz Ft. Mandisa & Jonathan Traylor
2021 – “Say I Won’t” – MercyMe
2020 – “Almost Home” – MercyMe
2019 – “Red Letters” – Crowder
2018 – “Gracefully Broken” – Matt Redman Ft. Tasha Cobbs Leonard
2017 – “Love Broke Thru” – TobyMac

STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN – An incredible phenomenon occurs this week. Mr. Chapman scores his 50TH # 1 smash at U.S. Christian radio with “Don’t Lose Heart”. The man has been charting on the radio for almost as long as this chart has been in existence – since the mid-1980s. It was a slow climb to the top. It was originally released to radio last July, and it stalled-out along the way before picking up steam early this year. It’s a rare re-entry on my chart – having originally spent 8 weeks on it back in August and September and peaking at # 4. An amazing 23 weeks after falling off my chart – it’s back at # 9. This is actually a new version of the single with country musician Michael Tenpenny assisting.

This concludes another weekend of blog posts. I’ll do it again with the new weekend – and 4 new entries – known as #TravelThursday, #RetroFriday#SundayScripture, and #Top10Monday.
