Every Monday I post my all-new Top 10 Christian hit music chart based on personal preference and influenced by radio airplay from the previous week. It’s the continuation of a weekly hobby that goes back almost 50 years. Here’s this week’s chart – for the week ending Sunday March 22ND 2026 – the 475TH week of this current era that began on Presidents’ Day Weekend of 2017:

PHIL, CHRIS, & TOBY – It’s always good to have new artists on the radio and on the charts, but it’s also great to see what I like to call “The Veterans” still singing for their Lord + Savior Jesus Christ. High atop the national charts this week are 3 such Veterans – Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, and TobyMac. Almost-42-year-old Phil continues his recent resurgence that started in 2021 with “Homesick For Heaven”. It’s the 3RD big hit from his album “Song Of The Saints”. Almost-54-year-old Chris Tomlin has one of his biggest hits in years with the energetic “How Good It Is”. And then there’s 61-year-old TobyMac – originally from Fairfax County Virginia (same as me). He’s been doing this for almost 40 years. He was on my chart 30 years ago in 1996 with “Between You And Me” – DC Talk’s only hit on the secular pop charts. Thank You Phil, Chris, and Toby for your songs of Praise + Worship through the years.

ONE-HIT WONDER – Megan Woods sang “The Truth”, and it was her only hit on my chart (so far) at the end of 2024 – peaking at # 9. It was a # 2 hit nationwide, and it’s considered to be one of the biggest debut hits on the Christian music charts during the 2020s. She’s getting ready to tour the country with current hitmakers Caleb & John and Jeremy Rosado.

ELVIS – Last Tuesday I saw “EPiC: Elvis Presley In Concert” at my local movie theatre. It far-exceeded my expectations for it. Director Baz Luhrmann did a fantastic job, and I loved every minute of it. I saw it in a surprisingly crowded theatre for a Tuesday afternoon, and I wasn’t the only one who was subtly dancing in my heated reclining chair. I was not a fan of Elvis or his music until just recently – during my 1970s rejuvenation in the 2010s. He was at the end of his career (and life) during the 1970s, and “EPiC” thoroughly covers those years of his Las Vegas residency.

ONE-HIT WONDER – Housefires scored a surprise runaway # 1 smash at the end of 2023 with “I Thank God” – also featuring JWLKRS Worship. It spent 9 weeks at the top of my chart, and it was my # 10 hit overall of 2023. (It was also my # 21 hit overall of 2024.) In 2026 our Praise + Worship band at my home church performs their version of the song on a regular basis. Before 2018 Pat Barrett was part of Housefires. His 5TH solo single is currently in my Top 5.
