Goin’ strong every Friday night since 2007 I present to you my blogging friends:

Travis mentioned me and rock legend Phil Collins in the same sentence.

Phil thanks God for His provision, favor, and grace in his Life.

Mark and I miss President Ronald W. Reagan.

Meet Jesse and Diego.

Ritz stayed up until the wee early morning hours of Thursday eating Cuban food and stuff with his friends.

Tammy – in her ‘Friday Night Blogroll Review’ debut – posts a list of action-packed movies that she plans to see come opening weekends.

Paul, Annie, and the rest of the Hollifields are reunited with Jesse, Reina, y Diego … and it feels so good !

– Pastor Nathan wins this week’s coveted ‘Major Bloggie Award’ for his takeaways thus far on a book that he’s reading regarding people that are ‘Quitting Church’. Furthermore, Nathan posted this blog entry on what exactly one trillion dollars is that is a runner-up to his previously-mentioned award-winner.

Kevin – not a fan of President Obama.

THANK YOU my friends for blogging with me !  Let’s keep on doin’ it !

Lunchtime Chronicles

TODAY immediately following my semiannual dental cleaning appointment I ventured south-southeastward into Florida City (where all of the food is), and I picked up my pre-ordered entree at NAZBAR. I’ve been there a few times since they opened several years ago, and I always receive good food and good service.

I actually used my retro cell phone today to make an actual telephone call. (Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus.) I called NAZBAR the moment that I stepped out of my dentist’s building (right next door to the Farm Stores that’s right next door to the main offices of Life Pointe Church). I knew exactly what I wanted, and I ordered it via a very competent person on the other end of the line. 15 minutes later I arrived at the jumpin’ joint, and my food was ready and waiting for me to pick-up. I took it home, and I ate my spaghetti and meatballs dude with 5 garlic rolls to boot. It was hot and delicious. The spaghetti could have used a tad bit more sauce, but I was delighted with it. That was a meal that was definitely worth the $8.55 (including tax) that I paid for it.

I give NAZBAR an ‘A’ for food, service, and value. Check them out !

Thursday Night Mini Thoughts

– It’s that time of the week again.
– It’s time for my ‘Mini Thoughts’ in 15 words or less.
– ‘Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In’ had the ‘Quickie’.
VH1 had the ‘Pop-Up Video’.
AOL had the ‘IM’.
Burger King has the ‘Burger Shots’.
– I’ve got the Mini Thought.
– Dude it’s hot and humid outside.
– Tomorrow we could have heat indices well into the mid-90s !
– I’m gonna try to yank a cold front by its tail down here next Monday.
– Maybe we could have a few cool mornings in the upper-50s !
– As the economy begins to recover so are gas prices.
– The’re up about 40 cents per gallon ever since they bottomed out.
– I’m not complaining, as I remember $4.199 per gallon last July.
– I ate Lunch at Quiznos today.
– I dig that joint.
– I eat there weekly.
– Good food and good service is all I’m asking for.
– I always get that there.
– I think I know who’s gonna grab tomorrow’s ‘Major Bloggie Award‘.
– We’ll all find out for sure on Friday night.
– One of my favourite rock bands is Philmont.
– The’re from North Carolina.
– I like how they sound.
– I like their message.
– They’ve totally given it up for Jesus Christ.
– Check out this music video below for their current smash “The Difference”.
– The band made the video themselves for under $300.
– Listen to the lyrics carefully.
– I’m rolling to what the’re rocking !

Lunchtime Chronicles

TODAY I went to Homestead‘s Atlanta Bread Company for Lunch for the first time in recent medium-term memory. Those of you who personally know me LIVE and in-person know that I haven’t had the best of luck at ABC ever since they opened for bid-ness last year. I’ve either had bad service, bad food, or an unfortunate combination thereof. Yet I keep returning over and over again after short-term boycotts of the jumpin’ joint.

TODAY I had the ‘ABC Special’ Signature Sandwich. That’s Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham, Provolone, Pepperoncini, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Mayonnaise, and Spicy Mustard on a French Baguette. I also got a bag of Potato Chips and a Regular Soda for $9.07 including tax.

Service was fine. I’ll give it a solid ‘B’. The food was average. The French Baguette was a bit too hard. I’ll give it a ‘C’. The value for my money gets a ‘D’. The Signature Sandwich is overpriced by at least a couple of dollars.

I’ll probably return to ABC in a few months. I’ll try a different sandwich.
